I had heard that there was a freshman student who transferred to FSU Spring 2013 term after only completing one semester, with 15 credits @ FIU in Miami and her high-school stats were marginal. Is this possibly and if so, how did she pull it off?

Did she happen to have 45+ AP/IB/dual enrollment credits? If not, it’s possible that she re-took the SAT or ACT (if that was the reason she wasn’t accepted) and applied again.

From my understanding and please take into consideration that I am obtaining all this information second hand, she did average in high school, didn’t have any AP courses and was flat out rejected by FSU during last year’s freshman admission cycle. Apparently this girls over the summer appealed her rejection (with the aide from an attorney) and FSU completed an agreement that if she did very well her first semester, then she could transfer into the spring term with the 15 credits earned @ FIU from the fall term.
Is this possible and how did she do it?
I was under the impression that one needed their AA to transfer to FSU.
Any Suggestions appreciated!

You can transfer to FSU any time. You don’t need an AA degree, it just makes it so much easier to do so, as you no longer need the freshman applicant requirements.
