transfer to Mays Business School for undergraduate degree

Hello

I'm a student at HCC and plan to transfer to Mays Business School next year.

Before last year, I was aiming for nursing school, so I've taken many nursing-related courses like a&p and microbiology.

I also retook some of the courses because I wanted better grades, and now I'm worried because I have too many credit hours.

I heard that Mays has maximum credit hour limit , but I will have more than 90 credit hours after taking some business-related courses.

So I was wondering if those courses that I took for nursing would be counted when I apply.

and for the retaken courses, do the better grades replace the bad grades for the gpa?

Please Help! I'm really nervous and worried.

You’re going to need a very good GPA to get into Mays as a transfer student.

The hours limit refers to students that do an internal transfer (within A&M, changing majors). Don’t think there is one for transfer students, but I’d email a Mays advisor to ask all these questions as well…

As for retaking a course, it does not replace the original, both grades are on the transcript and both are used to calculate.

Mays is truly one of the hardest A&M programs to transfer in to, ([Undergraduate Program Enrollment Management | Mays Business School | Texas A&M University](http://mays.tamu.edu/upo/enrollment-management/)) at that link, you see that in 2011-12 they accepted 75 transfer students total…

I’d encourage you to still apply, but also apply to business programs at smaller schools like Texas State and U of H.

I’m also gonna apply to U of H.

Thank u very much! It really helped :)

heather002…did you get accepted?
