I've made a few threads earlier about the possibilities of transfering to MSU. I currently attend UMich-Ann Arbor and I got a 2.93 gpa first semester. High school stats are 29 ACT and 3.95/4.0 gpa unweightd (4.075 weighted) with 8 AP classes. I applied for fall 2012 and MSU has all of my documents. How long will it take to get my decision? Do you think I have chance despite my low gpa first semester?

I was also accepted for fall 2011 so I used that application.

I think you definitely have a chance (albeit not a very high one). Your high school stats are great but I think your college grades matter more in transfer admissions. It takes a pretty long while for transfers to hear back - don’t be surprised if you don’t hear from them until March or April.

Thanks. I only have one semester of grades for college so I’m a sophomore transfer. I thought college grades weren’t as important in a sophomore transfer than a junior transfer, but I could be wrong.
