<p>I'm currently a freshman attending a LAC in Ohio and seriously considering transferring for Fall 2011. The reasons for which are: too isolated, too small, they have a very small arabic program (which is something I enjoy and want to study more of), the general air of apathy, the overwhelming lack of diversity, and, well, I'm simply just not that happy. So, in the past few months I've thought more and more about transferring to a big school in a big city. My questions are:</p>
<p>How is the transition for those who have transferred from a small LAC to a big University? I expect it to be hard, but I just want to know firsthand-- if anyone cares to share their experience.
I'm a bit worried about how my credits will transfer, especially because I took Econ P/F this semester. SO, does anyone know any restrictions on transferring a P/F credit?
And finally--am I just a not "fully adjusted" freshman and should I just ride the rest of my time here out? Or are my reasons for transferring legitimate enough to take the risk?
