Hi, Sorry I keep asking you things every step of my transfer process but its sorta like having a very supportive admissions advisor lol. I decided to write a letter to the transfer admissions director and I wanted to know if you had any advice on what I should include in it. Seriously though at this point I want to send them a fruit basket accompanied by a marching band…just kidding ( it would get me noticed lol )

LOL…you are too funny! It can’t hurt to let him/her? know how much it means to you to attend New Paltz. You might want to stress your super college gpa and upward trend from HS. How NP would be the perfect place for you to reach your career goals, but also make it a point to go into what an asset you would be to the NP college community, ie. any ideas you might have for leadership roles on campus.

Another thought…have you provided any references from teachers, employers or other adults in your community who can speak highly of you? It might help to have that in your application folder. Certainly can’t hurt.

I think its too late in the admissions process to send any letters of reccomendation as they are currently in the middle of reviewing applications but I did send an letter via email to the admissions director. Thank you for your ideas they made writing the letter go a lot easier :). At the very least this admissions board is going to have to know my name lol.
