Transfer to Texas A&M, chance?

Currently I go to Texas Tech University as a political science major.
-I have a 3.625 GPR, expected GPR for the end of the spring semester will be anywhere from a 3.3 GPR to possibly still a 3.6 GPR.
-My first choice major for A&M is political science, second choice is sociology
-Both of my intended majors are in the College of Liberal Arts
-Made the Dean's list
-In the Texas Tech chapter of the Alpha Lambda Delta/Phi Eta Sigma national honor society
-Got accepted to Texas A&M in High school, if that matters
-Expressed great interest in joining the Corp.
-Currently have 16 hours; will have 32 by the end of the spring semester

Thoughts and/or feedback will be greatly appreciated :)

Looks like you have a strong app. But, since you don’t have 24 hours before you applied, you will be getting the “whateversleftover” spots. But im sure LA wont fill up.

I say your in, but you probley wont find out until late April/May

Thank you. I noticed you reply to a lot of the threads dealing with A&M, do you go there by chance?

Nope. I am a transfer applicant myself. I just talk to the admissions office somewhat frequently and relay the info on here.

What’s your intended major?

Mechanical/Aerospace engineering.

Do you think you’ll get in?

I would say 70% chance. I dunno though. It can be upredictable.

Do you think it is 70% because of the competitiveness of your major?

Yeah since you don’t have 24 hours when you applied then you will get an automatic decline on your application. However, I know someone in the same predicament as you and they told me that they have to submit your spring grades in May and they will make their decision if they have any spots left.

I agree with mitch. From what i’ve been told every college has its own requirements however, the university minimum is a 2.5 on at least 24 graded transferable hours. You might have problems with the amount of hours you currently have not your GPA
