transfer to UCB college of engineering with "F"s

<p>Hi everyone, I have heard about that "F"s cannot be replaced for applying to college of engineering in UCB. Is it true that they will just count directly the GPA with the "F" and the one I retook, rather than replacing the better grade with the "F" ? Does anyone can answer me this question? Thank you very much! </p>

<p>P.S. My "F" is only a GE class, not a major requirement..</p>

<p>If you retook it, then the passing grade will only count. The F will still be on your transcript, but it won’t be calculated into your GPA.</p>

<p>yea… i know my CC will calculate my GPA using my better grade
but I have heard that UCB’s college of engineering department counts differently when u apply to transfer. so im not sure abt the situation…</p>
