so I’ve decided to go to uci as a computer engineering major with tag (guarantee uc). After I planned out my 4 year schedules, I noticed I’m way over 60 unit. since I already have too many classes to take each semester, is it ok to take out art/humanities and social/behavior sciences? or is it REQUIRED to take it in CC?

If all of your pre-transfer courses are lower division non-UC courses (all community college courses are lower division), then they will be capped at 70 semester units and will not be a “too many units for transfer admission” problem at UCs. All courses taken will count for subject credit (e.g. fulfilling a general education category or major preparation requirement).
