I’m a college sophomore attending Fullerton College right now, I want to transfer to CSULB or CSUN for construction management but I have a gpa of 2.5. This mainly consists of my gpa from UCI which was a 1.3gpa and then I went back to CC to transfer to a different school. What’s my chance of getting in? I know at CSULB all the majors are impacted but I don’t hear much about construction management, and CSUN isn’t impacted but it isn’t my #1 school I want to go to but willing to go if I get in. Any information from anyone in construction management major would help too?
If at your current school you’ve repeated and passed classes equivalent to those from UCI that you got a D or F in then the new grade replaces the old. So your overall gpa may be higher than 2.5
Why are you not working with the xfer center? According to the Fullerton home page
Seems like they should be able to help you.
Sounds like a visit to the career center would also be in order.
Assuming 2.5 is your transfer GPA, i think LB is a real long shot. I believe CSU Fullerton is you ‘local’ CSU so, you’ve got a shot there - as long as you have completed ALL of the pre-reqs . I’d also apply to a couple of non-impacted CSUs - though it looks like a pretty short list that offer your major. East Bay would be a good one. Sac is impacted but, I’d call it a maybe. Here’s a link to CSUs with your major - Note, Fullerton isn’t on it.
