Hi! I am applying to UWashington Bothel. I wanted to apply to the main campus, but the deadline had already passed. So if I get into Bothel, is it easy to transfer into the main campus?
What if my major changes and if UW Seatle only has that major?
I found out about this great school really late. -.-
If the deadline hadn't passed, I think I would have had a great shot at the main campus. My gpa is 4.0/4.0 and SAT 2030 SATll Phy740 MathL2 760
Now I am applying for Physics major but later it might change into Chemical Engineering.
Please guys help me and advise me.

As far as I’m aware, it is no easier to transfer to UW Seattle from UW Bothell than it would be to transfer to UW Seattle from any other 4-year institution. In other words, it would be quite difficult. I would not recommend you enroll at any 4-year college with the intention of transferring to UW Seattle.

Since you found out about UW Seattle quite late, I am assuming you are not from Washington state. If you’re an OOS student looking to start college in Autumn, I would honestly say just go somewhere else. It is a lot of hassle, and because of your good scores and GPA, I’m sure one of the other universities you applied to is appropriate.

HOWEVER, if you’re set on going to UW, you can do one of two things.

First, you could apply for admission in the Winter quarter. Admission for Winter opens in August and closes on September 1st. Obviously you’d be starting college a little later, but the main problem I see is that you won’t hear back until well after Fall quarter has started. You could possibly defer your enrollment at another college while you wait on UW, but I’m not sure how feasible that would be, or whether your second choice college would allow it.

Second, you could enroll in a Washington State Community College. Most of UW’s transfer students come from in-state CCs, and UW sets aside about 1/3 of its transfer spots specifically for in-state CC students. But, UW does not like to admit transfer students with less than 90 credits, so if you went with this option, you’d have to attend the CC for 2 years before attending UW.

In Autumn 2010, 90% of transfers accepted were from community colleges with the other 10% from four year colleges.

In Autumn 2013, it became 20% for those from four years.

Thank you guys! ^^
