Transfering to Binghamton as Sophmore.

I am a college student right now at SUNY Old Westbury and I want to transfer to Binghamton or maybe Stony Brook as a Sophmore. I finished this fall semester with a 3.85 gpa but the thing is I did horrible in my high school and also in my SAT's. I have no volunteer work as a college student but did a little in high school. Do I have a chance to get into these schools? And also is the transfer process the same as the applications from high school? Do I still have to send in what I did in high school as in awards or volunteer work? Advice would be much appreciated. Thank you.

As a sophomore transfer your college gpa and test scores will be taken into consideration. Not sure about awards and volunteer work…you would have to look at the transfer application to see if that is required. If you are set on transferring, you might want to apply to a safety school or two. If you are set on Bing and SB…give it a shot. If it doesn’t work out you can always reapply as a Junior and then your HS record will no longer be considered. Good luck

Are you looking into some private universities too?
