How hard is it to transfer into the UM (as an out of state), and do they have spring transfer or fall only?

You have to give more details. Are you a 4.0 student at a respected university or are you a 3.0 student at a community college? Do you want to transfer into the colleg of LSA or into Ross?

I would be transfering from a respected univeristy, w/ better than a 3.0

I guess it really depends. If you are want to transfer into Ross, you had better be a very good student. If you want to transfer into LSA, a 3.5 GPA from a top 50 university or top 50 LAC should do the trick.

Thanks, That was reallly helpful.

What I'm thinking is if Illinois Wesleyan is the only school I get into, I would want to transfer out early on, becuase after visiting I didn't like it much. Unfortunately it was too late to apply to Michigan. Since i'd go to IWU on a scholarship, i think I'll bbe motivated to keep a 3.5. And i would want to go into the LAS.

you'll get in with a 3.5. i got in with a 3.3 from a LAC around 50th in the USNEWS rankings
