Transferring after one semester

I feel like I made a bad education decision. I am currently attending a small, private, nonprofit, college in Cincinnati, Ohio. I have been at thus college for about two months. I thought the college was a good fit for me but I don’t feel the same anymore. I wanted to know will it be wrong to transfer after one semester at this college or should I finish the year and then switch and how should I go about it. I also previously attended two colleges before the one that I am at now.

You have already attended two other colleges. Would this be your third transfer, or were those other colleges dual-enrollment while you were in high school?

What exactly caused you to choose your current college?
What is your major?
How close are you to finishing your degree?
If you transfer again, how quickly will you be able to finish at that fourth and hopefully final college?
Are there any money issues.

If you can finish your degree quickly where you are, this current place is in your budget, and the career placement office is decent for your major, stay put and just finish your degree.

If you can finish your degre more quickly by transferring, the target college is more affordable, the career placement office is better, the major program is stronger, or there is some other big advantage to you in transferring, then it makes sense to transfer out sooner rather than later.

But rather than transferring, you probably should consider taking a leave of absence at the end of this semester and spending time on figuring out your goals. Why have you changed colleges so many times already? Looking for perfect can make you miserable when good enough will do.

The college that I am at now is my third transfer. I picked the college because it has small classes. My major is communication. I just started this August. I’m not sure how quickly I can finish my liberal arts degree at the prospective college. The first time I changed schools was because I was struggling so bad with coursework, even with the resources. The second I changed was because I had a death in my family and education was the last thing on mind; and after that I took a year off to mourn; and now I’m at my current college now.
