Transferring after one year?

I only applied to three schools offering my major (only one was safe other 2 were reaches) and got rejected from all 3. I am waiting on appeal, but while I wait I ask this.
My data 3.79 gpa avg, 1840 (700 math), Aerospace engineer major, Full Hispanic (I thought that would help me), 8 AP classes, 10 tests (hopefully I pass all).
If I narrowly missed their requirements (at least for UCI, other schools were UCLA, UCSD) and pull off a 4.0 for a semester or 2 (answer for spring and summer) in community college would I be able to transfer after showing I am ready for college in a year or less?

If you can complete 60 units and all pre-req's in one year, you can transfer. They can't stop you because you should technically be a soph, not a junior. But finishing 60 units puts you in junior standing.

Also, again technically, not supposed to give favor to you due to race. There was an article last year in the LA times about it.

You can't transfer as a sophomore, this is just a generalized rule. I actually had two stupid friends, applying as Junior transfers, put themselves as sophomores (b/c that's what we are when we're applying) and found themselves unable to select a campus or major. Thankfully, they have me (=D).

Your AP classes will really help you, given that you got a 3 or above on all of them. Don't worry about your SAT score, unless you're transferring to a private school.

Good luck.
