My dream school is the University of Michigan, but like many other students with the same goal I simply didn't apply myself in high school and just went through the motions. As a consequence, I will be attending Eastern Michigan University in the fall. It's not a bad university by any means, but I want to transfer ASAP. I have to apply for the 2013 fall semester by February 1st, so I'll only have one semester under my belt. Where would they be looking for my credentials? My ACT was decent at 27 (I could retake it if necessary), and my high school GPA was lacking at 2.5ish.

Why don’t you ask the school?

Did you ever apply to University of Michigan as a freshman?

In general, if you have 24 or more college credit hours, the college GPA becomes more important then the SAT/ACT scores or the high school GPA
