Okay so I'm going to be a transfer for UC campuses in the fall of 2012 and wanted to know if the people in bizecon are having a hard time with their class classes. I only have one B in art but I'm currently taking a heavy load. 16 units, and the one class thats giving me a little trouble and need to stay on top of is CALC. After seeing that the class of 2010 trasfers for UCLA for bizecon had a 3.94 I almost fainted I kidd you not. Now I'm very stressted and overwhlemed. I got a 92 percent on my first Calc test, but I study so long and so hard. I always keep thinking about getting a second b which will drop me below the average admittance GPA. I currently have a 3.95, 4.0 if it wasn't for the stupid art class I blame CAL and their liberal arts requirment. So my question is is anybody having difficulties keeping grades knowing that UCLA and CAL are "Highly selective in that category". I mean 1 B and I coud be out of my dream school :(

I’m bored with you.

Ha, 16 units a heavy load

dont worry, op. you are guaranteed because your GPA is so high. Keep it up, dude!

I’m applying for BizEcon next year too and I’m kinda stressed too. Mainly because of the things I hear about Calculus being a “weeder” class and me only being Precalculus. Also , is it bad if I’m taking Calculus 1/2 the two semesters immediately before transfer? Assist.org says that the calculus reqs should be “met as early as possible” but…yeah =/

Nero’s posts always make me lol. Good stuff.

Calculus is known as the weeder class because it’s the most difficult of all the pre-reqs and GE you have to take.

For me Calculus 2 was the hardest of the series. Got a solid A in Calc 1 when i took it in CC and a B- for Calc 2. Calc 3 was surprisingly alot easier at UC’s though.

It’s like another language from all the math you have taken up to Calc and it uses all the concepts as well.

Don’t fret it just work hard and you’ll do fine.

@poserbruin: I think you’ll be fine just meet all your pre-req and try your best. Its really shocking UCLA class of 2010 for biz econ had an average admittance gpa of 3.94!! thats soo ridiculous, when the average of the pool was 3.45. I think its the most competative major in UCLA for CC students hands down. I hope I can make it out with a atleast a 3.85 - 3.90. keeping my fingers crossed :)
