I am planning on dropping out of my current CSU to a CC, due to some financial issues.
The major I want/prefer is called Early Childhood Education, for careers in teaching preschools/kindergartens. After my 2 years at a CC, I definitely have the option of transferring to a UC/CSU. However, I wish to become a teacher in Japan(my parents are Japanese, and I have been taught the language along with English :) ), at least work there for some time. Of course, I probably need to take required courses, credentials at a Japanese University.
So is there a way to transfer from a CC to a foreign university (Japan)? What may be the approximate percentage of successfully tranferring? I am honestly clueless. If anyone has any knowledge/advice to share, I would like to know. Thank you so much!

Have you heard of JET (The Japanese English Teaching program; google it). I think it may just be for people who’ve recently earned a bachelor’s degree. But, they may have some cross-education programs where you could study in Japan, too.

You would want to look into the application procedures for foreign students; they are readily available in English for most of the big national and private universities, although I cannot imagine that being much of an issue for you.
