I am a freshman at Cooper Union and I'm considering transferring to Brown or to Columbia. If I have a 3.6 GPA, what do you think my chances are of getting accepted to either?

What do they look for in general when it comes to transfer students?

what does your hs record look like? this is the biggest factor in your admissions...what are your ec's?

but unless your parents are donors to either school or you found the cure for cancer, you won't get into columbia or brown with a 3.6 from cooper union

^Well...I wouldn't say that. Judging from your GPA alone, you certainly stand a chance. But other things will also be considered in your application - SAT scores, college ECs, recommendations, etc. dufflebagjesus is usually accurate in his assessments, but I'm going to have to disagree with him slightly here (i.e. I recognize that Cooper Union is no noob school).
