transferring from Northwestern with a 3.475 sophomore

Hello,

I'm extremely unhappy with Northwestern--I have a 3.475 as of my fall quarter sophomore year. I'm an Econ major. What are some possible alternative schools to consider transferring to? Obviously, I would like to transfer to a school with a similar academic level...

You could try WUSTL or Berkley

UNC-Chapel Hill

You could try USC or ND. Both are transfer friendly, though I believe ND doesn’t accept transfers into it’s business school if you wish to pursue business.

Sorry to hear of your experience, I hope you find the advice you need on this forum.

Out of curiosity, why is it that you are unhappy with Northwestern? I’ve heard of some other people too not liking it.

hey there
i am actually quite curious about why you would like to leave NU as well.
i am an emory student interested in econ/business and i am actually in the process of trying to get into NU.
could you please share with us your experience and why you are so disappointed?

thank you.
happy new year!

You can try cornell and UVA

Vanderbilt, Berkeley, Michigan, NYU, Cornell, UNC, UVA, ND, USC, Emory, and BU – such large Ivies are just too friendly with transfers.

You may want to look into safeties such as Binghamton and see if they’ll still offer you a small generous scholarship into the honors program at school of management.

I had the same issue last year. I’m a soph right now too and still contemplating transferring. Not sure where to apply though and if it’s worth the effort at all.
