Hi, I want to transfer from UCLA to CCC to UCI. It’s due to some personal issues, so I would like some questions to be answered. Please don’t try to persuade me to stay, it’s a problem that can’t easily be solved. I actually emailed a CCC about this, but they said I need to contact UCI, but I can’t find an email to contact them…
Here are my questions:
- My GPA is below a 2.0 right now and I'm wondering if I go to a ccc, does the ccc use my current GPA and build off from there or do I start anew? Say I needed at least a 3.4 to go to UCI, would UCI consider both my ccc GPA and UCLA GPA combined or would or would UCI look at my GPA's separately. If the minimum requirement if a 3.4, would they look solely at the CCC GPA and then just look over the UCLA GPA or would they combine the two GPA, to see if I met the minimum? Sorry if that was confusing...
- Since I'm going to UCLA right now, when I transfer to a ccc and apply to UCI, will I be seen as UC-UC transfer or CC-UC transfer during UCI's admission process?
3.How likely could I transfer to UCI’s school of engineering within a year? Especially with programs such as TAG? I know engineering would be a tough major to get into…
- Am I able to retake classes at the CC for classes that I've received a C in at UCLA?
**Keep in mind, I know my GPA is low at UCLA but please do not think that I’m leaving because I think it’s too rigorous. I know wherever I go, there will always be competition and hard classes. This is mainly based on very personal issues, sorry if I had to repeat that again.
Thank you for the help!! I’m really not sure how to go about researching such information since there aren’t many UC-CC-UC transfers…
