Hey guys,

I'm a new poster here on CC but I've been reading posts for a while. I'm a first semester freshman at the College of William and Mary, and I've been thinking of transferring a bit lately. I'd really appreciate it if you guys could give me a ballpark admissions outcome and some advice!

First and foremost, I am a UVA legacy. I am not sure if this is as important for transfers, but I figured I should mention it. I am also from out-of-state.

In high school, I had a 3.7 GPA and 2000 SAT. I held leadership positions in 2 honor societies, worked 20 hours a week, played varsity sports, and a host of other minor extracurriculars. I also have a talent for the visual and performing arts, and have won several local and regional awards.

This semester, I have held a 3.62 GPA in 13 credits and I made dean's list. I am majoring in English with a possible double in anthropology. I also hold some leadership positions on campus and am employed by the admissions office. I have art work displayed in the president's collection at the College.

I love my current college, but sometimes I wish for a bit more of a social scene and a less awkward student population. Do you think I have a chance for Fall transfer admissions? I have not yet told my parents about possibly transferring.

Thanks for reading!
