I am a freshman student at WSU who is considering transferring to UW. What concerns me is that UW rejected me the 1st time I applied (during my high school senior year). So far, my college GPA is pretty average(3.1), so what would my chances be of getting accepted?
Would my credits from my WSU classes transfer over to UW? I understand they have a system where you can change credit from a semester system(like WSU) to a quarter system (like UW).

Also, what is life at UW like? (campus, classes, dorms, social scenes, etc.)

As I am not a student there yet, I'll leave the major details to someone who is. But I'll tell you what I know. Even if you may have been rejected to the university the first time around, keep trying! As a transfer student, you are still showing your intent and desire to attend. Don't worry about chances; it seems that you've done well enough in college.

And I'm not certain but I do believe that any credits earned at WSU can be transferred. It shouldn't be an issue at all.

I have two siblings at UW and I can tell you that it is a very active, vibrant, and unique place. Not to rag on WSU, but UW certainly has the better campus and setting. There is so much to do when you're out of class and the campus is absolutely stunning. And there are a number of public transit options you can take to go to Downtown Seattle or the Eastside. I'd advise you to visit.
