Transferring high school junior year?

Currently I am a junior and I go to a top 10 school in NJ. My current school offers tons of sports and clubs in which I am part of. But the other school that I might transfer to is ranked quite lower, and has very few clubs and no sports, so I would have few extracurriculars to put on my application. Would college held my lack of extracurriculars at the new school(due to the school not offering them) against me? If I transfer high schools during junior year for reasons that I have no control of, would it affect my chance to top colleges? I have no control over this situation.

How would the gc rec/teacher rec work if I switch high school? The new gc would hardly know me, but the current gc knows me quite well. Would I have two gc recs, from both of them?

ECs are more than those things which happen at school. Find other things to do. Even working a job counts as an EC.

The only way it might affect your chances is if your original school is a “feeder school” to more elite colleges. Since you have no control over this I don’t know why you are worried about it.
I’ll let someone with more knowledge answer the GC rec question.
