Transferring in as Sophomore

Hey everyone,

I'm a Florida resident who decided to attend Georgia Tech. I think I made the wrong choice for schools, and I want to see if I can get back into UF

I was accepted already as a new freshman, but turned them down in May.

I currently have 33 credits according to Tech. Is there anyway I can transfer in for Spring? Or do I have to wait till Fall 2013 when I'll have Junior status.

Thanks,

Did you not read that UF does not accept TRANSFERS with less that 60 credits? Would you be transferring? Yes. So it applies to you.

As an alternative, if you are desperate to come back to FL, you could do a year at a community college and then transfer to UF. Depending on your field of study, it isn’t that bad of an option.

why don’t you call and ask if they will let you change your descision. I know when some of my friends turned down UF, they were still being contacted about if they were sure of their decision for a long time.

If I were you, I would go to a C

CC and then transfer to UF. What do you want to study? Also, try and see if they’ll reinstate you man

Study Nuclear Engineering… and I have basically no more pre-reqs to take

I called there and they said due to space limitations, they can’t reinstate me, and I don’t qualify for readmission

They also aren’t doing Sophomore transfers anymore. Gotta wait till I have 60 credits :/

Dude work your butt off at GT and transfer to FL when you get 60 credits. Do they count your ap/ib/de credits towards transferring?

You should call different people. I know because my friend got reinstated to UF around 2 weeks ago. So it could be possible
