Transferring in with AA - consistently denied!

So my boyfriend has been attending a local college for the past few years. He didn't get into his first choices (UF and UCF. ) He should have actually gotten a Bachelors by now but can't get into any of the universities. So he remains stuck at the local college racking up meaningless credits and paying money for no reason. He is on the Computer Engineering track. GPA isn't the best. Maybe a 3.0. He has also applied for Computer Science. Denied.

At this point, he just wants to get a Bachelors regardless of what it's in and wants to do it at UCF. What in your opinion is the easiest major to transfer into at UCF? If you've done it, what semester did you apply to and what degree track were you on? Any more advice??

Thanks!!

Why doesn’t he pick computer science or computer engineering at a different school?

If he has his AA from a community college in Florida then he shouldn’t be getting denied. What are their reasons for denying him?

He has. So far UF has denied him but he’s also going to try FAU and USF.

All the rejections say are “Due to the high number of qualified applicants, we cannot offer you admission.” Are either of you transfers?

Yes, I’m a transfer student. That is a interesting reason. Does the community college he go to have DirectConnect? Maybe he can talk with a counselor.

I’m not sure. I can definitely ask. I’ve never heard of DirectConnect but it would be great for him to speak to someone an get a better feel for what’s going on. What major did you transfer into?
