Transferring into Dartmouth

Hey guys...
I am currently a freshman at NYU, but I'm thinking about transferring into a better, or maybe just different school. I applied to NYU early... so I didn't have a chance to see where I stood academically speaking. So I'm thinking about transferring into Dartmouth. Here are my Stats:
Top 10% high school... very competitive
94 GPA
SAT: 690 Verbal
640 Math
620 Writing
SATII: World History: 750
US History: 760
Did model un and won some awards...did youth and government...started my own club (international relations club)
volunteered a lot
Diving: 8th in NYS
Im doing well this year, but i haven't taken any finals yet so i dont have a GPA

I know that my SATs aren't that impressive, but I am planning on re-taking them...is that a good idea? and was was thinking about contacting the Diving coach there....what do you guys think?

I am disturbed by the first part of your reason: "I'm thinking about transferring into a better, or maybe just different school."
I am just curious; what part of NYU do you not like? And also, wouldn't your first year college GPA be important.

I love the city...but its just not a good place to study...and I dont have a GPA yet b/c i haven't recieved any grades yet...

also...I'm pre-med...and the pre-med program at NYU has 600 students...its very impersonal...but when I applied I wasn't even condsidering per-med...I only looked at schools with excellent IR programs...but that program at NYU is not what I thought it would be and I don't particularly like it...these are some of the reasons why I am considering transferring
