So I got accepted into UC Davis as a sophomore transfer entering in as an Undeclared Major. I dropped General Chem in the middle of the semester class this because I found it difficult to juggle the two. For updating my coursework for Davis should I put “Withdrawal” (W) or “Dropped” (DR)? On my CC academic record, it shows “W” for it so should I base it on my community college record? Will this affect me greatly in getting admitted?
Next is that because I decided to make the worse stupid mistake of taking a Science and Math class in one semester, I am working as hard as possible to get a C in Precalc. Right now, the best grade I can get is either a C or D. So if I do not pass Precalc and get a D, will this affect my chances greatly much like my first question above.
Lastly if I were to retake my compass math exam (or my CC assessment exams), will Davis accept it? I currently have a five (Precalc) and I want to make it a six (Calculus 1) as a safeguard if I do not pass Precalc.
Bump…I really need advice on this…
I see nothing wrong with putting W tbh.
Getting a D can affect your admission but does your school offer it in the summer? If so you can let Davis know of the situation and tell them you plan to retake it before you actually start there this fall. Sorry but I’m not sure what to say on your last question. Good luck with everything man, I can only imagine how nerve-racking everything is for you… going through something similar right now. I think knowing others are rooting for you and can relate is a bit settling. Praying for you.
Yes but it does not offer it as the full class. In the summer its divided into Precalc 1 and 2.
BTW if I accept the SIR is the payment due immediately or before the deadline?
Also should update my courses before I accept the SIR or after? Should I update my coursework at the same time once I receive my final grades or should I just update my Chem now and then my Precalc after my finals?
I believe you have to pay as you SIR, I’m in EOP so my payment was deferred.
Definitely update your dropped courses ASAP and the grades of your other courses when they come in.
