Transferring out of Tulane...

Because of money issues I may end up having to go here.

How does Tulane look when transferring to other schools? Is it relatively easy to get good grades here?

I'm not sure how Tulane is looked upon for transferring, but it a top 50 school, so I'm sure that a good thing. My brother is a student there and says Tulane is very rigorous and everyone has to work hard for their grades. Also, why are you against Tulane. You may end up HAVING TO GO to Tulane?? There are people that would love to be going to Tulane next year. What makes you so sure you will not like it and are going to transfer?

soooo easy to get straight As. I mean, you have to do your work, but if you put in any effort-->4.0

My son is a student at Tulane and let me say upfront that he is no superstar academically. However, for his Katrina semester, he attended a top 50 large state university. He achieved nearly a 4.0 in his first semester there, even after starting almost 3 weeks into the term because of the hurricane.

Tulane--another matter entirely. He (and ALL his friends there) agreed on one thing...that Tulane was academically more challenging than the schools they all attended during their Katrina semester. And many attended schools ranked higher than Tulane is.

EbolaZaire, congratulations of doing so well there. However, I don't think your experience is necessarily one that most students will encounter!

Tulane's hard, yes, I took a junior level anthorpology class my first semester as a freshman, and it was difficult, however, still not topping some of the AP's I've taken. Classes are structured TOTALLY differently, so it's hard to compare them to high school classes. Math/science at tulane are impossible, everything else is much easier haha.
