Transferring out of UPenn to a state school

I transferred to Upenn this year as a junior in the college of engineering. However, I don't I fit in Upenn very well. My GPA would be pretty bad after this semester and I am hoping to go to med school one day. I am paying the full tuition here with no financial aid. With my poor performance here, I really don't think this "ivy" education is worth it.
Would it be possible to transfer out after I finish this year to a state school like Penn state University campus to study mathematics or biology?
If i do transfer, i will still probably have to study more than a year at the state school I am looking to.

I think it’s premature to be thinking about that just yet. Give it another semester! Your premed prerequisites will not change substantially, so keep at it and focus on improving your science GPA here.

My father is an admissions officer at UA Med, and he (as the rest of the committee) tends to favor applicants from more rigorous schools (all other things being relatively equal). It would behoove you to stay at Penn and do as well as you can here and now (IMHO).

You’re a junior now? Not many places take senior level transfers.
