I have 68 transferable units from my community college, but i still have 8 units of lower division requirements i haven't fulfilled that i would like to take at community college instead of the university (much better teachers for these two classes). I know that units over 70 won't go towards my degree, but those classes that are over will still satisfy CSU lower division requirements. I just wanted to know, would I still be considered a full time student for financial aid purposes if take 8 units at community college and 4 at the university and filled out a cross enrollment form?

I don’t know anything about a “cross enrollment form” and how CA works. BUT where I am, financial aid is awarded by EACH school. So you would be considered a part time student at both schools. With a total of 12 units, you are JUST meeting the full time criteria if added together.

I hope someone from CA can comment on how things work there with their CC and the CSU system.
