If anyone could give me some help on this I would really appreciate it

I was not a direct admit to the FSB, so I am currently in University Studies in the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS). I just noticed that there is a Foreign Language Requirement for the CAS. If I am planning to transfer into the FSB, can I just not take any foreign language classes freshman year and as long as I get into FSB after my freshman year, will I be exempt from this Foreign Language Requirement?

ANY help or ideas on this are greatly appreciated!

My son is in the same situation and is not a language fan at all. So I am advising him to forego a language class in hopes he’ll get into FSB as a sophomore

Hello @atfer87, I was wondering the same exact thing two years ago when i was admitted into Miami. Yes, the College of Arts and Science does require you to take a foreign language requirement. IF you get into Farmer for your sophomore year or after, you will not be required to take a foreign language. You can skip out on taking a language freshman year, so you better study hard and get into the business school!
