So I am currently a student at SUNY Sullivan and I will soon start my fourth semester. I want to go into the adolescence education program for Spanish at SUNY New Paltz. I’m aware that you need 45 credits or more to transfer into New Paltz for them to base it only on your college record. I will have 31 credits( I started out part time) at the end of the Spring 2018 semester and I am planning to do some CLEP exams to so I can have more than 45 credits. The reason being is that I moved here from Ireland and because I went to high school in Ireland I had to get a GED to get into community college here. My current GPA is 3.94 and another reason I want to CLEP exams is because I want to save money as I’m paying for it myself. Anyway, would I have a good chance of getting into New Paltz with my GPA(as long as it stays around that number) ?
I would suggest contacting the transfer admissions department at New paltz and talking to them about it.
Good luck.
