Transferring to Northeastern

Hi, I am a freshmen at San Francisco State University as a Communicative Disorders Major. I have always been interested in Northeastern and SFSU is really not the school I thought it would be. Northeasterns also got a speech pathology/audiology major that I want to be in. I want to be able to transfer, but I was wondering what the odds would be?
It says i need at least 24 semester hours to not go into my high school record... does that mean 24 semester hours by the time i enroll, or done by the time I apply. Like if I apply in May 2010 for Fall of 2010, by the time I enroll I would have 24 semester hours, but in May I wouldnt be at 24 yet.
anyone else transfer to Northeastern? Im looking into having a 3.6 GPA

I applied to transfer to NEU last Spring for Fall '10. I got in with a 3.2 GPA (gahhh). I got the highest scholarship for transfer students- 5,000 dollars. They are not very generous with transfer merit aid, so be aware of that.
I forget how the whole credit thing works, but I’m pretty sure I sent my high school records.

It is 24 credits by the time you enroll so basically 24 credits completed by the end of next spring semester if you are applying to transfer for enrollment in Fall 2010. NEU will be one of the schools I am applying to for transfer next fall as well.

Where did you transfer to Northeastern from?

I am also applying to transfer to Northeastern. Good luck to us all!

i got accepted to northeastern university. anyone else get their decisions?

I am applying Fall 2010

Hellokitty, where did you apply from, what gpa/major? congrats on getting accepted!

hrf thank you!
i applied from community college with a 3.0 gpa. I applied as a Sociology major, but they only offered me admission to their general studies program. i’m pretty sure that’s not a good thing, but I’m going to attend because it was my first choice school.

GSP actually seems like a good thing to get into!
Congrats!

cefran,
thanks
are you currently attending neu?

Nope, but I applied there as a transfer last year and they only gave me $5,000 in merit aid. I really liked the school though, my friend goes there and I spent a weekend plus a school day (for her) there. I went to a hockey game and I had sooo much fun. It was really nice there, I highly recommend the school.
