Transferring to Pepperdine?

I wanted some advice:
I'm currently at Mercy College in nyc- I'm doing the distant learning and I begin classes Spring 2015.
This wasn't my first choice college I actually just applied on a whim to see if I'd get in & I did. But the fact that I got in really took me by surprise (the acceptance rate was 60% but my high school GPA wasn't too hot) and now I'm wondering if perhaps after the Spring 2015 quarter/semester I could apply as a transfer applicant at Pepperdine.

I know since it wouldn't be a lot of time for me to establish a full years worth of college they would most likely look to see my high school records and SATs. I will be taking 15 credits: let's say I ace every class, would that give me a good shot at potentially transferring to Pepperdine?
Is it possible to transfer mid year? As in mid freshman year? If so, how would I go about getting recommendations from professors since I don't really know them yet & I'm a distance learning student.

Their website says the SAT/ACT score is only required for students applying with less than 30 credits. My SAT score was not very good- if I pass all my first quarter/semester classes with flying colors should I take the chance of submitting my SAT score and hope they see my initiative in improving my grades despite my not too hot high school GPA?
Mind you, my GPA only dropped significantly because I was dealing with a personal problem junior year. Other than that I was pretty much a straight A student with the occasional B or two.

Sorry if that was long & thanks for the help!

What state do you live in? Is there a community college near your home? The tuition would be much lower than attending Mercy. I would suggest doing one year at the local community college near your home (30 credits) and then applying as a transfer to Pepperdine. Mercy is not a very impressive college and you would be better off at CC if you your goal is transferring.
