Alright, so I'm really confused about how Stony Brook makes its decisions for transfer applicants. Over the summer I applied and was accepted into both NYU and USC for physics (if you can find me in the 2011 threads for those schools, you'll know who I am =D) but I couldn't go to USC because my mom never filed the required paperwork for FA (she's the custodial parent. Pretty sure she didn't want me going across the country) and I didn't go to NYU because I was freaked out about the ridiculous costs.

So I decided to take a semester off, am taking two classes at my local CC (Organic Chem and Anatomy and Physiology, classes I think I'll need to be able to go into Medical Physics for grad school) and chose Stony Brook as my number 1 (am also applying to Binghamton and Hunter College) because of, from what I've heard, its stellar math/science programs.

I completed the application on the SUNY website...and then I wondered what the Hell that was for. The ONLY information worth looking at to accept applicants is my college gpa and college credits. And yea, I'll be sending them my college transcript (I'm a junior transfer so I have well over the 24 credit minimum for not sending high school transcript and SATs) but I have no clue what they'll be basing their decision on. After doing the Apps for NYU and USC, I was expecting an essay, ECs, recommendations and short answers. But absolutely none of that was on the application. Am I missing something? Can someone shed some light please? And I know it's not a given, but I'm almost expecting to get into Stony Brook after going 4/4 with applying for schools this summer, two of which are NYU and USC.

Anyway, here are my stats:

College GPA: 3.53 (did poorly in 4th semester due to a lot of reasons, took very rigorous classes though)
Credits: ~66
High school GPA: 3.85, ranked 4th
SATs: Math-670, Verbal-580, Writing-630 (biggest mistake of my life is not retaking them)
SAT IIs: World History - 680, Math I - 660, Math II - 730
APs: Lang-3, Lit-3, Calc AB - 4, US History - 4

Thanks. Sad how I'm nervous, again.
