So I just finished my freshman year at NYU and I can't return because I can't afford it. =(
I decided to try transfer into Stony Brook for Spring 09 and I wanted to know what my chances were.
I only completed 26 credits at NYU, I had to withdraw from a class during Spring 08 because I got mono and I fell way behind. My gpa for the first year was a 3.1
Would I still need to submit my high school transcript(which is better than my college one, 3.8 gpa)?
What about AP scores?
I'm pretty sure I'll be going to Suffolk Community College for the Fall. Would that be ok? Will SB look down at that? What classes should I take that would transfer to SB?
Thanks to anyone who replies! =)

Thanks for your interest. If your GPA is a 3.1, you should be okay -- and since you've completed 26 credits, we won't consider your high school record at all. What to take at Suffolk would depend on what you took already and what would be transferrable. What you might want to do is call the office (631-632-6868) and make an appointment to come in and go over all that. Make it with me if you'd like -- when you make the appointment, just ask to make it with Chris.

Bring your NYU transcript and any college credits you might have earned in high school and I'll help you put the pieces together.
