Transferring to Tech Business

I know business students are shunned at tech but I am trying to transfer there nonetheless. I have pretty much the minimum to get in about a 2.79 overall gpa and a 2.75 math/sci gpa. I have all the prerequisites done and all I want to know is what my chances of getting into the tech business program is. I'm applying from gainesville state college and I am a georgia resident. please help.

Shunned? They have the nicest building, the most generous alumni, many professors who win campus-wide teaching awards, and their dean is pouring more money into the undergraduate program comparatively than any other major.

Seriously–look at the GT alumni who give the most money, and a crazy high percentage are all business/MGT majors!

Some engineers try to look down their noses at the business students, but it doesn’t work. The MGT students are getting great jobs right out of undergrad, often for $70-80k to start!

So, what’s not to love about MGT? You get to spend more time in Tech Square, recruiters are lining up to meet you, etc.

You think their building is better than the biotech park, Klauss, or the new learning commons? Everything else is right except that. The newer buildings at Tech are very similar to me, but it seems like others have more “color” than MGT. Anyway, the MGT folks are really only shunned by other students. Just as we don’t really like our B-school majors here (yes, it ranks 3, but we still don’t respect the students. We moreso respect the concept of the institution and perhaps the teachers lol). Fact is, often B-school students are shunned by other students at w/e institution. One exception may be Wharton.
