Transferring to UMD?

<p>so I currently goes to Towson Uni and im trying to transfer into UMD College Park for the Spring 2014 semester.</p>

<p>I just finished his freshman year with 24 credits (12 credits a semester).</p>

<p>Now UMD states that you need at least 30 credits (including math and engl) to apply without sending in your HS transcript or your SAT scores.</p>

<p>I did horrible during his HS year and his SAT score so im really trying to avoid turning those in.</p>

<p>Now since ionly has 24 credits, can istill apply for the Spring 2014 semester? ill be attending Fall 13 at Towson so will the credits itake there be counted towards the 30 he needs to complete?</p>

<p>The deadline to apply to Spring 14 semester is Aug 1 and thats before Fall 13 even starts.</p>

<p>The credits have to be completed at the time of application. If you apply August 1st, then you’ll only have 24 completed and must submit hs records and sat scores. You might be better off applying by march 1st for fall 2014.</p>

<p>Where will you spend your summer? Could you pick up six credits through TU during the summer that would have grades by August 1? If you won’t be in Towson, you probably could take some online classes - or at least classes that don’t meet very often and you could just drive up for the day.</p>

<p>I know TU students who live off campus and are looking for sub-letters, surely you do too. If you need to take classes on campus during the summer, housing can be really cheap.</p>
