<p>I just finished my first semester at UT Arlington, and have since changed majors to pre-business. UT Arlington has a fairly bad business program, so I've been looking at transferring to UT Austin instead. My high school record sucks, but they don't seem to look at that anyway. </p>
<p>My GPA this first semester is a 3.667 (4 hours of Bs, 8 hours of As). I believe I can probably manage to make mostly A's for the next semester or two, raising my GPA to at least a 3.8. I'm involved in a few extra-curriculars on campus, but I'm not in a leadership position anywhere. I plan on getting an internship at a financial firm fairly soon. </p>
<p>What are my chances at getting into UT Austin? What other things do I really need to focus on to get in (and specifically into McCombs)?</p>
