Transferring to UW-Seattle from UW-Tacoma

<p>My friend was waitlisted at UW-Sea and was eventually forced to go to UW-Tac. He wants to major in either chemistry or math. I was wondering if anyone had any advice for transferring. His stats in high school:</p>

<p>GPA: ~3.7 UW, few APs
SAT: 1500/2400
Junior ROTC Commander</p>

<p>He has lived in Korea and Canada before and is now living in WA - unfortunately this means he is not an american citizen.</p>

<p>Any advice on how to handle the next year to be in the best position for a transfer would be great. He'd like to transfer ASAP.</p>

<p>First, I would say that he needs to do well in his classes at Tacoma. And he needs to talk to someone from UW -- counselor, academic advisor, whatever they might call it, to get their advice about preparation for transfer.</p>
