<p>I was interested in applying to Umich for transfer, BUT I didn’t realize the app deadline is the SAME as it is for freshman. Is there any hope that I can still apply? I just want to apply, and I don’t mind starting over as a freshman. Any help with this matter would be much appreciated. </p>

<p>Call the admissions office and the Department of Music, Theatre and Dance and ask. You never know until you try.</p>
<p>I'm a freshman at UMich right now (not MT). Last year, after being accepted to LSA (the general college), I decided to apply SMTD for voice. I actually sent in my transfer request in January, I think, and they were still able to schedule the audition. They're pretty flexible about those deadlines. At this point, you won't get scholarship consideration, but as long as all the audition spaces haven't been filled by the time you apply, they should be able to schedule you. I would call to make sure musical theatre isn't full yet before you apply, though.</p>
