I got CAPed and was going to see if I could somehow get 30 hours by the semester and get into Austin in the Spring semester. This would mean taking hours over the summer. Anyone have any ideas or heard of anyone doing something like this?? Any responses help and are appreciated, thanks.

Theoretically you could, yes.

I talked to an admissions person on the phone and asked him that same question, he didn't really clarify though, I suggest calling them on Monday to see a detailed answer. Then post it here since I would like to know as well.

One thing to note is that transferring in the Spring would be the worst/hardest time to do it, because there is still everyone that has gotten accepted for the fall, and UT is overbooked this fall 2008.

I'm not sure about the innerworkings of the CAP program, and I don't know if the CAP program allows you to take credits over the summer, so you would have to accept the CAP then take summer classes and then take the rest at a CAP school, then try to transfer in the Spring. Is that what you are thinking about? In that case I would believe that it is not allowed. Not sure though.

what do you mean they are overbooked for this fall? does this mean there isnt any space left for the people who are trying to transfer but need to finish this semester to get the 30 hours?
