Does anyone know when Syracuse decides about transfers into it's BFA Acting program? My daughter has several friends who are still waiting to hear -- they are from both inside SU and from another university. Thanks!

I heard of one person who auditioned as a transfer and was told they loved him/her but did not have room for any transfers. This was weeks ago.

If you still haven’t heard anything, I would suggest calling the theater office on Tuesday morning after the holiday. My guess, however, is they have already made their decisions.

I auditioned to transfer in to the BFA acting program there a few months ago, and finally got my acceptance letter on Monday.

Congratulations on your acceptance to Syracuse! Feel free to PM me if you have any questions about the program – my D is a senior in the MT department, and many of her friends are acting majors.

Haha thanks I appreciate it but I’m actually an inter-university transfer so I’ve already spent an extensive amount of time around the program, faculty, and students. I do think me already going to Syracuse helped a lot with me being accepted.

I’m curious if anyone else from outside Cuse who tried to transfer heard back.

I have been told that only 2 students were accepted as transfers.

Hello everyone. I was accepted into the BFA Acting program at SU and am entering next month in August for Fall 2013! I’m very excited. I know SU has great opportunities such as studying abroad in London and performing at the Shakespeare Globe theatre, and also the Tepper Semester in NYC, but other than those two, do SU performers get good exposure to professionals in the business?
