No … I checked that once again … the exact same mail was sent to me in 2010 … I think it was a mistake … :(

Don’t worry about it!! I’m sure it will make no impact on decisions. I have the same status. I’m so nervous - no sca acceptances on cc yet, but someone was called by an sca admissions officer to “chat” (hello shoo-in)! I’m so anxious so I know how you feel. Positive vibes your way!!!

Has anyone heard anything?

I got a Winter grade request, but I’m on the quarter system so I don’t think that means anything special.

I got in late March. Forgot to say anything. Ooops lol

@sydneral

Didn’t you apply by the freshman deadline though? I thought I read that you had on the transfer thread. If so, I think it’s fair to say that, for regular decision, nobody has been accepted to SCA just yet (or at least anyone on this forum).

@lordjim it won’t help that much I applied for their critical studies program and last week they asked me for my latest transcripts. I faxed them over. hopefully we get to hear soon since some transfer students within the other schools at SC are already receiving their acceptances.

So no status changes for my fellow SCA-ers? No updates at all? Does anyone have a clue when we’ll hear?

I’m so tired of seeing the June 1st transfer status ahhhh

Does anyone know when SCA applicants usually hear back? According to last year’s decision thread it seems the people I saw heard back around May 21, but there were only like 3 people who had applied for SCA on the thread. Were there any sooner than that?

@CityfilmTran My status hasn’t changed after they asked for my transcripts.

@reelfilm your right, most Transfers begin to hear from the middle of May. I got my rejection letter from SCA during the 21st. So, within a few weeks you’ll know what’s going to happen.

I definitely haven’t heard anything other than seeing my status as the “we are reviewing…” one. I called a week or so ago and tried to con the admissions counselor into telling me when we might start, but he wasn’t having it. Lol.

I believe they have already started to review our apps - an applicant received a phonecall from SCA admissions last week perhaps even further back than that… Not sure why we’re not getting updates!!

Perhaps I’ll try to con the adcomm tomorrow… I’ll let you know how it goes :)

@CityfilmTran

Haha, please do!

I still haven’t received a status update, but I DID receive an email from the director of admissions asking to see a list of the courses I’m currently enrolled in. I spoke with her and she made it clear that this was not an SGR, but I’m just really confused as to what’s going on…

My guess is that sca operates differently from USC hence the lack of status changes. You’re getting so much one on one contact! They clearly are very interested in you!

@CityFilmTran

I really hope so!!! I’m freaking out again, though, because I just called USC admissions to change my mailing address and the counselor I spoke with said two things that made me excited:

So you’re a current student?

I can’t get into your account to make any changes because someone has your file up.

What does this mean?? What does all this meannnnn??? My heart is seriously racing!

wow panther seems like you are one step in!!! =)

well I have received no changes at all! Idk if being an International transfer student makes things worse for meee!!!

I’m freaking out!!!

@panther it’s sounding really good. I hope we hear that you received a big acceptance package from SCA :)

has anyone’s status changed yet?

Nope :-(
