My GPA is 3.7 at my most recent school, and I think about 3.2 overall. (Did very poorly at a different college years ago, which is why the cumulative is so low.)

according to the UW website, 3.2 is the average transfer GPA so it seems as though we are both in a good standing! Are you transferring fall '10?

Hopefully, ha ha!

It drives me crazy that I have to wait until June to find out if I got in!

But yeah, I applied for Fall 2010. Hope we both make it!

so just to be clear, has anyone gotten an acceptance letter yet, because i will be the last person.

transfer gpa, 2.5,i had a .75 gpa for one quarter 7 years ago its amazing how long that skews your average, because I was a military applicant and had my transcripts with me the counselor actually had uw do a review of them last may for free so i would know if i needed to take a class while in Afghanistan.
123+credits
5 colleges
status says my stuff has been reviewed.
nothing in my non official transcript,

the only thing going for me is my stellar essay, and the fact i’m in the army

Ugh- so I requested that my high school send my transcript to the UW back in December. It wasn’t until February that I actually submitted my application and had my college send in my transcript. So far the only transcript that has showed up on my application status is my college transcript. This is really frustrating to me- because my high school reassured me they were going to send in my high school transcript and that I didn’t need to send it myself. I should have never left something like this to someone else. Anyone else still waiting to see all of their documents show up on their application status?

BTW- to answer the GPA question above- mines a 3.95 (damn A minuses…)

that is my issue w/the application process, too! I sent my high school transcripts on January 6, applied to UW in February and according to my application status, my high school transcripts have not been received yet. I called my high school to double check that they sent them and they told me that they did, so i’m guessing it is just UW’s process. Maybe they are entering our college transcripts first? I’m kind of concerned about this…

Thank you!! I called once and asked and they told me to be patient- that transcript processing is going slower than normal this year. That was about three weeks ago. I’m glad to have someone in the same boat as me though. I’m going to give them a call on Monday and I’ll tell you what I hear.

but we regret that you will have to do somthing else with your life.

we not an exact quote but oh well,

so they are sending out letters to transfer applicants

You got your letter already?! Oh man x_x Now I’m nervous

Did your status change before you got your letter?

@aylagator: please let me know what they tell you! i will definitely try asking, too!

ahhh i’m so nervous that you got your letter in the mail! when did you apply?

I will for sure. This whole day has been like one big anxiety attack for me. Tomorrow cannot come soon enough. I think the worst part is my dad encouraged me not to apply to any other schools because if I can’t get into the UW, “no one else can.” I have a 3.95 GPA (a total of 3 A minuses in sophomore/junior level classes) and over 90 transferable credits, most of which were completed in high school. Not to mention I will have my AAUCT this spring. I guess none of that matters if my high school transcript is lost though. ><

our situations are so similar! i only applied to UW, too. Based on your grades and AA status, you most definitely will get in. I’m sure they have our transcripts; they were probably too focused on frosh apps. I’m going to call UW admissions tomorrow morning and ask about transcripts as well as when they are going to start notifying transfers. eeeek!

Wanna become UW anxiety text buddies so we can anxiously text each other about our situations to make one another feel better? At least it would make me feel better XD

haha for sure! let’s unite our ranting!

I’m in the same boat at you guys, transferring (hopefully) for fall 2010. I had my high school and college transcripts sent in early January, and applied in February. I’m super nervous that neither transcripts have been loaded in MyUW yet, but I do have conformation from both schools that the transcripts were sent.

I emailed UW and I got one of those pre-formatted emails back saying that they are just really slow loading documents b/c of all of the applications they have to deal with. Good luck to everyone!
My stats: 3.98 high school gpa, 3.97 college gpa w/ 110.5 college credits.

Okay UW- you’re on. I’ll play your waiting game. -.-

ahhhh “a record number of applications” ! scary.

It’s going to be okay! Deep breaths. Deep breaths!!!

Ayla and Bridges, I would ask your high school to send another official transcript. And, if possible, put delivery confirmation on it, so they can see exactly if/when UW gets it.

I had one of my college transcripts sent to UW in late November . . . waited over a month and they never updated to say they’d received it. Finally I asked the college for another sealed transcript and this time sent it myself, with delivery confirmation. UW received it on January 5th and updated myUW with it by January 7th.

As for my high school transcript, they updated its status as soon as they received it (in early December.)
