<p>I only applied at UW- at my dads advice. What most of the other people have been doing is paying the $200 deposit- that way you have a security school. Worst case scenario is you are out of $200- but not without a school.</p>
<p>That’s probably what I’ll end up doing too . . . but it just kills me because I don’t have money to burn. (EFC $0.) Well . . . if I have to, I have to I guess. Don’t want to be stuck without a college in the fall . . . </p>
<p>On a different note, I sent in my Winter 2010 grades from my CC (it’s on a quarter system) and myUW updated within three days saying they got it. Still no change on my actual admission status, but I was glad to see they at least have the new grades in my folder or whatnot.</p>

<p>Hey guys! I have two questions.</p>
<p>So I applied RIGHT on the deadline and my status is still “awaiting an initial review”. First question: Is anyone else’s status still like this? I’m worried, because I know my HS transcript is a day or two late. I am coming from out of state (Arizona State University, ugh), with a little over 60 completed credits. I have a 3.51 GPA as of the end of fall 2009. </p>
<p>Second question, please don’t kill me…Do any of you guys know if UW is need-blind? I’m not applying for any financial aid whatsoever, and as ******y as it sounds I am kind of hoping that helps, just because I’m nervous about my essays :(</p>
<p>i applied a few days before the Feb. deadline and my status still says “awaiting an initial review”, so i wouldn’t freak out. I think that’s pretty normal at this point. Just a guess—UW probably just started looking at Transfer apps. because they had to complete frosh apps first. the waiting sucks!</p>

<p>In regards to the need-blind they pay no attention to whether or not you need financial assistance when assessing your application. Last year when I applied as a freshmen I asked the same thing. That was their response.</p>

i have a 3.97 gpa, just over 110 credits (mostly science classes), but i’m not confident at all with my essay : (</p>
<p>Plus i also applied right before the deadline, i think the 14th of February, so hopefully they won’t hold that against me! My status is also “awaiting initial review…”</p>
<p>I didn’t apply anywhere else so hopefully that won’t come back to haunt me! They just loaded my transcripts like a week and a half ago even though I had them sent in early January. What I’m most worried about is classes filling up before we have a chance to register for them since we will have last priority the first quarter as new students.</p>

<p>Dude you are totally fine – 110 transferable credits with a 3.97?? Don’t even worry you’ll be fine. Did you apply for summer or fall? I’m also a CC hopeful transfer… 3.95 gpa with like 33 credits transferring for hopefully the summer…</p>

<p>my friend from UW asked the admissions office and they said they’d only start mailing out intl transfer decisions in june/july :(</p>
<p>Has anyone’s application status changed from “awaiting an initial review” to “we have received all materials required to review your application” recently?</p>
<p>My transcript just change to “We have reviewed your application. We will inform you by postal mail when a decision is made.” My unofficial transcript loaded too. :)</p>
