Transfers

Just wondering who else out there is a transfer applicant?

Where are ya’ll from? How are your stats? When will we hear back about our decision?

I am 20 yr old from SDSU. CA born and raised. 3.5-3.7 GPA

I also applied for transfer. I am a freshman at NYU, and I live in NY. I'm a potential chem major with a 3.3 GPA. In high school, I had a 104.1 weighted GPA and was 2nd in my class out of 150.

I think we find out in mid-may. This wait is killing me! Being they only accept around 8% of the transfer applicants, I do not have my hopes up.

Always think positive...good things will happen. Why did you decide to leave NYU. I am applying to NYU as well.

the main reason I want to leave NYU is because it's lack of a campus and school spirit. I thought I'd like the whole city thing, but in all actuality, I can't stand it. I'd like to be somewhat near a city, but not right in one. BC is great because its close to Boston, but its in the suburbs. It has great school spirit and the college feels like a community, rather than a bunch of kids in NYC with real common thread besides the classes they are enrolled in. There are plenty more minute reasons which I won't go into detail about.

NYU is a wonderful institution though. So if you think you'd like being in the city and don't mind the lack of a campus community, then NYU would probably be great for you.

hey I applied to BC as a transfer too, I could not find too many threads about BC transfer though, so thanks!! My stats are 3.81 at a top 40 university. HS GPA 3.7 from a jesuit high school. and yea their acceptance rate is crazy! but they said their avg gpa for accepted students was 3.55, so its kind of odd...
I heard we probably won't hear until closer to June, waiting really sux!

Ah really? I have another school that needs to know by June 1st, so I hope we find out acceptances and financial aid before then! I guess if it gets closer I'll try calling or something.
