D flew back today (Friday after Thanksgiving). She tried to reserve inshuttle on Wednesday and got a message about the offices being currently closed. Could not tell if the reservation was taken or not. Called this morning to confirm and they said there were no reservations for today and she should call back when she landed…Maybe they would run a shuttle this afternoon. But when she called while waiting for her connecting flight, they said they had already closed for the day. I’m still waiting to hear if she took Uber or a traditional cab back to campus.

Weird. By phone today the shuttle confirmed our son’s reservation for 6pm this evening. He is still enroute - hopefully it works out.

@MImama, hope your d was able to find out about Inshuttle when she landed.

Following up on my post #21 – InShuttle was there at 6pm to pick up our son.

@SoCalDad2: That is so strange. InShuttle clearly told me that they had no shuttles running to the airport yesterday. D took a cab back to campus, and did not even try to find InShuttle.

MImama–I am so sorry to hear that InShuttle let your daughter down on Friday, how could they not be working on Friday, that’s crazy!? My daughter has always had good service from them so I feel bad since I recommend them all the time. (I was worried last night (Sunday) since her plane was late and by the time she got her bags it was close to 11:30pm which is their last shuttle but they waited for her and got her back to campus safely.)

Regarding InShuttle, and to follow up on my posts #21 and #23 – when our son arrived back in Nashville, he was standing at the the wrong place at the airport for the shuttle pickup. It would have been easy for the driver to leave (especially since she had no passengers other than our son), but she called him and told him where she was.

He did make an online reservation several days in advance, and then called to confirm several hours before arriving – perhaps both are crucial.

Is there no longer a shuttle that runs to all the Vandy-area hotels on a regular schedule? My D graduated in 2011 - that is what she always took to/from the airport. It was reliable and inexpensive. I did a search but didn’t see anything like that anymore.

Looks like both Jarmon and Grey Line offer services like that. There is a long list of bus/shuttle providers on the Nashville Airport site.
