transportation to Baltimore

Does anyone know if there is a way to get from Baltimore, MD back to College Park around 2am, besides driving? Someone suggested Amtrak but the last train leaves at 12:30am. I am not a student- I will be visiting on NYE and would like to go out in Baltimore, but our hotel is in College Park. Please help! :) Thank you!

Haha, I don’t believe there is a way to do this. Baltimore is close to Washington D.C. but not close enough to merit public transport between them at 2 in the morning :p.

The best thing to do would be to spend a night in a Baltimore hotel and head back to CP the next day.

You can try this: [WMATA | BWI Airport](http://www.bwiairport.com/en/travel/ground-transportation/trans/wmata). You can take the light rail in Baltimore to BWI. I would call to see 1. When the light rail stops running to BWI on NYE specifically and 2. How late the bus runs on NYE specifically and 3. When the last metro train from Greenbelt to CP is on NYE. My hunch is that 2am is going to be a bit late for all of these pieces to fall together. But you can always try.

It also depends on the day of the week. If it’s not the weekend you’re too late for the Metro even and I doubt the other trains will run.

^I think by “NYE” the poster meant "New Year’s Eve (correct me if I’m wrong OP!), so it’s likely that the light rail/metro will have some kind of extended hours no matter what day of the week it is…

Marc trains, of course, don’t run anywhere near that late on any day of the week (and only run M-F), though that’s certainly the most convenient/direct means of public transport between Baltimore and DC.

lol That does make sense. I’ve never seen that abbreviation before.
The hours might be extended but I’ve never been in the area for the holidays so I don’t know.
