We have found some flights into the airport at Binghamton, NY. How would my D get from the airport to Cornell? Thanks.

If the Ithaca Limousine doesn't go to Bing then the only options I can think of would be a taxi....which won't be cheap. If you are coming with her, then you can rent a car as well.

I think there's also a Greyhound station in downtown Bing so if you don't want to rent a car or if she is coming alone then you could take a cab from the airport to the bus station and take the bus to Ithaca.

The best solutions is to take the shortline bus from Binghamton bus station which will drop your D at Cornell campus. The bus leaves every two hours from Binghamton. Check out the bus schedule at:
Short Line Bus

my son had to do this once freshman year - I realize that this is not ideal - my d is a freshman and I won't be crazy about it BUT - your d should take the bus to/from the bus station in Ithaca -Binghamton...takes a taxi from bus to airport. in Binghamton.....

have you tried Syracuse airport? there are buses that go to/from Cornell Campus to Syracus airport...

Memphismom, do you have a link to the Cornell/Syracuse bus schedule?

This is the option I've gone with for the past couple of times: Ithaca Airline Limo

Ok, thanks... quite pricey, though! What about this:
S.A. Charters Bus to Airport | The Cornell Daily Sun

Is it still operating during breaks? Sounds like a great idea...

Yes...I believe that S.A. sponsored buses to get people to the airport for Thanksgiving.

during move-in day, do most people drive to cornell? Because I wanna take a plane, but I realize I have a lot of stuff...

^ I'm packing clothes and bathroom items (contacts, toothbrush, ect) But I'm just gonna buy all my items in Ithaca.

Most people in the Northeast drive...I also have a few friends from Virginia who drove in.

One of my friends is driving.
Hahaha. She lives in Austin.
That's going to be a great 3 days.
A 32 hour drive if they do just that.
Ew.

Yeah, flying in from Long Island isn't exactly the norm.

I live in San Diego...

PROBABLY not going to be driving ;)

I think I'm going the Syracuse route, mostly because it's cheaper, but from what I saw online there are quite a few ways you can get yourself and your luggage up to Ithaca.

^^my 2 best friends are from San Diego....they've always flown into Syracuse and never had a difficult time getting to/from Ithaca

The dorm rooms seem a little small. Would there be enough room store luggages? I don't want to take too much and have luggages take up the whole room.

Does luggage have an s?

MadeinChina: They are very small. Bring luggage that you can "nest" and store under the bed. Duffels compress and are great for linens. Actually, some students use their suitcase to store their linens and out of season clothing under their bed.
